Charles III, previously known as The Prince of Wales, ascended to the throne upon the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8th, 2022. Born at Buckingham Palace in 1948, he is the eldest child of Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
